The Texas College Access Network (TxCAN) is an association of agencies and organizations working to increase student access and success in postsecondary education. Through TxCAN, institutions of higher education, school districts, non-profit and for-profit college access service providers, state agencies, counselors and others have greater opportunities to work together in furthering a common mission of greater student postsecondary access and success.

An initiative of Educate Texas and the National College Access Network, TxCan focuses on building awareness of existing college access activities and resources; aligning the strategic efforts of various stakeholders; and providing tools to measure the impact of college support efforts.  To accomplish these goals, Educate Texas (in partnership with regional organizations) will bring together stakeholders in six key areas–El Paso, Houston, Dallas, Rio Grande Valley, San Antonio, and Tyler- to address the most critical local and regional college access and success needs.

TxCAN’s goal is to empower students and parents to navigate college and provide the resources that counselors, advisors, and schools need to more comprehensively support Texas students.
